Eight-dollar wine, ten-dollar cocktails.
House wine by the glass — red or white — is $8. Beer is $6, well spirits $9, and the cocktails you would actually order — Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Gold Rush, Old Fashioned, French 75, Mule, margarita — are $10. Gin, vodka and espresso martinis are $12.
The food is a real menu rather than a bowl of olives: meatballs in vodka sauce, fried gnocchi, a hamburger, Verdi rolls, Caesar or spring mix salads, and a vodka sauce fettuccine or fettuccine Alfredo. Enough that happy hour turns into dinner more often than not.

Do I need a reservation for happy hour?
No — happy hour is walk-in at the bar and in the lounge. It fills fast on weekdays, so come early or reserve a table if you want to be sure of a seat.

750 Front St in the Marina District, three blocks from the Gaslamp Quarter and a seven-minute walk from the San Diego Convention Center. Valet and underground parking on Union Street.
Can we stay on after happy hour?
Yes. Dinner runs straight through, and Thursday to Saturday the Medusa Room lounge behind the dining room stays open late — until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday.
